CORNUCOPIA LAMP
Walnut, Cotton Yarn, Imitation Gold Leaf
The Cornucopia Lamp reinterprets the classical symbol of abundance and prosperity, drawing inspiration from cornucopia motifs in Biedermeier furniture and the story of German settlement in Barossa. Constructed from stitched walnut panels, its diverging form is accentuated with gilded gold interiors that reflect light like rays of wealth and hope.
The design transforms a historical motif into a contemporary object, celebrating resilience, optimism, and the enduring human spirit.
Created for Barossa Biedermeier exhibition at Jam Factory Seppeltsfield, South Australia
Curated by Caitlin Eyre.
