The Octapod Light was conceived in response to the material-driven, intuitive process of ceramic artist Tom Summers. Moving away from digital techniques, the design embraces a hands-on approach. Wooden veneer panels are steam-bent and meticulously stitched together, forming a marine-inspired shape.

The stitching technique, developed in the Vallam series, is expanded here to create a thematic universe inspired by marine creatures, translating craft into sculptural lighting.
